Possible names for our little friend welcome =D
And here we thought we were done buying birds. :o
We swore our fifth (AND FINAL) bird would be special. It would have to be REALLY REALLY SPESHUL special. Like, a rare albino, or something. We also swore to avoid Petco because they are the suck.
Guess what we found at Petco the other day? :/
We hmmmrmrmmmmed and hummmmmed about it, and finally decided to buy it and think of it as a bird "rescue" :/
So far our newest budgie (nicknamed Snowcrash for now, huhuhuhuh... we'll see if it sticks) is very very active, very curious, very playful and shows great promise towards being fond of humans. She was perching on our fingers and shoulders by the 3rd day we had her, which leads us to believe her special looks might have gotten her special human attention at whatever breeder or bird mill the poor thing was born in. :(
I'm glad she's with us now. I hope she enjoys it here :o
Halloween's never been much of a "holiday" for me. But 2006 was a year of meeting a lot of new people, so there are a total of 3 possible parties to choose from this weekend....all of which require costumes. Apparently everyone's going to every event in SF this year as a naughty school girl, so Doris and I decided to be different and make hawt alien invader costumes! :)
My halloween costume concept sketch:

And behold, our success:

We are super super proud, especially considering how @#$%ing hard it was to sew the cloth we picked. Yes, we spraypainted our boots and spark gun silver. :o
Halloween parties? BRING IT ON!!!!!! >XO
In other news, I always used to get annoyed when people called me lucky. It kind of seemed to imply that I didn't work HARD for the successes that I received. But I'm not contesting it anymore....
...cuz a few days ago I found a $100 bill on the floor at the mall. D:
I gave $50 of it to Alan, and he's going completely nuts with Google Checkout and new videogames. :o
